Terms of Use
Last updated 17 June 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and The Poker Dojo about your use of the website at thepokerdojo.com and everything it offers (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Poker Dojo is a small, independent educational project operated from the United Kingdom. You can reach us any time at support@thepokerdojo.com.
2. What the Service is — and what it is not
The Poker Dojo is an educational training simulator for 6-max No-Limit Texas Hold’em. It exists to help you learn and practise poker strategy: you play simulated hands, your decisions are graded, and your stats, progress, XP, and belts are tracked over time.
The Service uses play-money only. There is no real-money gambling, no wagering, no deposits, no withdrawals, and no cash or other prizes of any kind. Chips and balances shown in the simulator have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed, sold, or transferred. The Service is a place to study, not a place to gamble.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Service. The Service is designed for adults learning poker strategy and is not intended for anyone under 18. By using the Service you confirm that you are at least 18.
4. Your account and security
To save your progress you create an account with an email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity that happens under your account. Please use a strong, unique password and let us know promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. Your password is hashed by our authentication provider and is never stored in plaintext by us.
5. Acceptable use
Please use the Service fairly. You agree not to:
- scrape, harvest, or systematically copy content, lessons, or data from the Service;
- use bots, scripts, or other automated means to generate load or interact with the Service at a scale beyond ordinary personal use;
- attempt to probe, scan, overload, disrupt, or breach the security of the Service or its infrastructure;
- reverse-engineer the Service except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
- upload or submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share; or
- use the Service in any way that breaks applicable laws or these Terms.
6. The AI coach
The Service includes an optional “AI coach” that can generate written coaching based on your aggregated play. It is a convenience feature, provided on a best-effort basis. Its output is generated automatically, may be incomplete or wrong, and is educational only — it is not financial advice, gambling advice, or professional advice of any kind. Use your own judgement and don’t rely on it as a guarantee of anything. We describe exactly what data the AI coach uses in our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The Service — including its lessons, written content, drills, design, code, and branding — belongs to The Poker Dojo or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own learning. Anything you submit (such as hand-history text you paste for analysis) remains yours; you simply grant us permission to process it so we can provide the Service to you.
8. No warranty and no guarantee of results
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content is complete or accurate.
Most importantly: the Service is educational, and we make no guarantee of profit, winnings, or results. Practising here can help you learn, but poker outcomes depend on countless factors outside our control. Nothing on the Service is financial, investment, or gambling advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Poker Dojo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Termination and account deletion
You can stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account and all of your data yourself, whenever you like, from your /account page — deletion is permanent. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to it or to others. If we ever discontinue the Service, we’ll try to give reasonable notice so you can export your data first.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, when we add features or to reflect legal changes. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll make a reasonable effort to let you know. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you’re a consumer, you may also be entitled to the protections of mandatory laws in your country of residence.
